Lovely room near train station

I have a room double room available in my house for a friendly housemate/lodger.

The house has all been recently redecorated so there is a nice cosy new carpet in the room, and all the usual mod cons in the house. Large washing machine and fridge, dishwasher, superfast internet and various streaming sites in the living room.

The bedroom itself is lovely and light, and has a brand-new natural fibre mattress.

There’s a good-sized kitchen and dining area, and a sunny conservatory and garden. Good electric shower in the bathroom, and free street parking (no permit).

Free on-street parking.

Bike storage in the shed.

Bills also include a cleaner every couple of weeks.

It’s around a 15 minute walk to the train station, less than half an hour to the town centre. Cycling it’s less than 10 minutes.

Good access to ring road as well.

There are a few local shop options within walking distance, as well as big supermarkets a short drive or cycle away.

- About me -

I’ve recently moved back up north after living in London for 10 years, and mostly work from my home office now although have to travel to London every few weeks. I’m working as an art director in advertising so I’m quite interesed in creative stuff, art, design, film etc. I love a good bike ride in the sun, beer garden pints, (nice pubs in general lets be honest ) plus all of the other stuff that everybody likes.

I’ve lived in a few shared houses in London so quite used to sharing with other people, and think I’m fairly easygoing. I keep the place tidy but not a neat freak.

I’m fairly busy with work and try and get to the gym a few evenings a week, but I’d like to find someone who is up for a chat over a brew, or maybe a trip to the local every now and then.

The room is available from August 5th but this can be flexible. (I had originally put this ad up for mid June but my current lodger stayed longer than he originally intended to).

One caveat on the room- the house is near a train line so if you are a very light sleeper it's probably not for you.
