The property is called Abode and it is managed by Home for Students.
The flat is on the 2nd floor but there is a lift.
Available for the academic year 2024-2025. Tenancy begins on 7th September 2024 and you can schedule when to move in before you start university during that month.
The property is Student Halls so you have your bedroom and bathroom but you share the kitchen with 4 other people. I have not been given the genders of the other flatmates but I can find this out if requested. There is also a common room, a free gym, and, a laundry room. The property is secured with a gate which is opened by your fob. The reception is open 5 days a week from 9 am-5:30 pm. There is also maintenance help available.

I would like to find someone to take over my tenancy ASAP as I would like to commute next year. I have previously stayed at the accommodation for the past 2 years and it has been great. You are in the centre of York (it is off Walmgate so there are bus stops for the University of York round the corner from the property and York St John is a 15-minute walk) with a major shopping park called Foss Islands across the road which includes Morrisons and a B&M. A Lidl is nearby.

The total rent is for 48 weeks and it is £10,176 but it can be paid with student finance in 3 installments of £3,392 as you pay a deposit of £250 by the move-in date.

You don't need to pay council tax as you are a full-time student. The rent is lower than what is advertised on the Homes for Students website as it is a rebooker rate.
