Here is an opportunity to rent this charming bedsit in a lovely character beamed cottage dating back to the eighteenth century. It is situated in a village 2 miles from Hexham. and would suit a mature professional person, a writer, an artist or someone who is looking for a peaceful place to stay. I would prefer someone 40 or over. Must be a non smoker vaccinated and an animal lover. No shift workers please. There is a resident dog. (small and very friendly). .

I have lodged with Christine for two and a half years. I work from home and I found it a perfect place to work without being disturbed. Christine gave me plenty of space but she was always very easy to get on with and she was extremely helpful whenever I needed anything. We had some great chats when I was on a break from work too. Having acces to the side garden (which gets the sun for almost the whole day} was a massive bonus. Christine`s dog is also the sweetest and most well behaved dog you`ll ever meet. I`ll be very sad to leave.

The large room is self contained with its own mini oven fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and blender. .It is bright, south facing and sunny. There is a double bed, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a two seater settee, an armchair, a large bookcase and a computer work station/dining table. There is WiFI in the room and also a TV point. Attached to the room there is a toilet and washbasin for use exclusively by the lodger. Bath and shower are in the main downstairs shared bathroom. There is access to a small private garden with a patio table and chairs

The village is picturesque and is just minutes from the A69. It has 3 pubs and a hairdressers and as well as having the benefits of village life such as clean country air, lovely walks and close proximity to the Roman Wall it is just minutes from the bustling market town of Hexham . In Hexham there are numerous supermarkets ,a couple of 24 hour garages one of which has an attached Spa shop. There are the main train and bus services to Newcastle and Carlisle, a modern gym and swimming pool, the Queens Hall Art Centre and theatre, a cinema, many cafes, pubs, restaurants and hotels, and all set amid the historic architecture of Hexham Abbey and its beautiful parks. £395 per month
