Two double rooms available in our recently redecorated semi-detached house in Beeston. It has a lovely homely feel (myself and my partner had this as our first house, so it doesn’t feel like a typical student rented property!) Downstairs there’s a large living room with sofas, dining table and a TV; a kitchen (containing an oven, microwave, cupboards, fridge and freezer, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer); downstairs toilet and one double bedroom. Upstairs is a recently refurbished bathroom (2020, with a bath and shower); two double bedrooms; two large cupboards for storage, and a small bedroom (for me, see below). There is also a front and back garden, a garage and driveway large enough for 3 cars. Plenty of free off-road car parking too.

Since the house has been lived in by a family, there are some really beautiful touches you won’t get in a typical student type property. In one of the double bedrooms, there is a large and beautiful bespoke wardrobes, and all three bedrooms have been recently redecorated (2020).

Both of the remaining rooms are good sized doubles, which are fully furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, set of drawers, bedside table, desk and chair. Bills (wifi, council tax, TV licence etc.) are all included in the price. We’re ideally looking for professionals, including postgraduate students, but mainly folks who will keep the house clean and tidy.

The communal areas in the house will be professionally cleaned twice a month. The boiler has just been serviced (Jan. 2020).

The house is ideally located: it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the University of Nottingham and a 10 min walk to Beeston. The nearest Tram stop (University Boulevard or Middle Street) are about a 15 min walk away, and there’s a bus stop about 3 minutes away to take you into Beeston town centre or Nottingham city centre. If you’re unfamiliar with Nottingham I can provide some info about getting around.

The current climate makes it really difficult to search for rooms so I’m more than happy to do a Zoom/Facetime call so you can “see” the property as much as possible.

I have a room in the property but work away in Edinburgh. Pre-COVID, I was staying here for a couple of nights a month but in light of COVID I haven't been travelling as much so will be unlikely to be at the property very often. This will be very much your home, so I’ll always let you know when I’m coming or going. I’m doing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Edinburgh.

All rooms are available from the 30 January 2021 but there is flexibility with this, so do get in touch. I’m happy to discuss short and long term rental options (min. 6 months) on an individual basis.
