Located just 10 minute car drive from central Oxford, and 5 min from Abingdon, and on two direct bus routes, our cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and a one minute walk to a great country pub (with excellent food)! A great location for nature walks, running or simply relaxing.
This first floor room is a comfortable double with magnificent views over the garden and surrounding countryside. We are happy to furnish it to your requirements. You’re also welcome to bring your own furniture if preferred.
Communal areas: housemates are welcome to make use of all the communal areas, large bathroom with bath and separate shower.
We have a beautiful heritage kitchen (with plenty of storage), utility room, our cosy lounge (with underfloor heating) and the music room. When that’s not being used for teaching, you’re welcome to play on the baby grand piano.
There are extensive gardens, and so if gardening is your thing, you’re welcome to have your own veg patch! Or relax on the garden furniture and enjoy the sunset with a glass of something tasty!
The communal areas are cleaned weekly by professional cleaners, the outer windows are cleaned professionally once a month and we also have a gardener who maintains the grounds.
A bit about us: we’re both teachers and professional musicians. We like to take walks in nature, usually accompanied by our friendly dog, garden, watch good films and can often be heard singing round the house (we especially like musicals!). We also love board games. Carcassonne is a particular favourite!
A deposit of £900 is required to secure the room, refunded upon the completion of your time with us, assuming that there are no damages!
