Double room available for sublet near Port Meadow

We are looking for a kind, relaxed, respectful housemate with whom to share a bright and spacious house in West Oxford. We are researchers and professionals working at the intersection of geography, ecology, mathematics, creative writing, and Buddhist philosophy, and love yoga, meditation, and wild swimming in Port Meadow. We are open to sharing with both students and professionals.

The large double room advertised is £815/month (excluding bills), and ideally would be occupied from 1st April. We are still finalising the bills amount, but would expect this to be £55/month for council tax (the house is Band D) and approximately £60/month for broadband and utilities.

The room is available until the end of July with an option to be on the contract for a longer lease after.

The house is fully furnished, with the bedrooms having a brand new double bed, desk and chair, and storage space. There is a cosy living room and a large kitchen, which backs onto a patio and garden. There is also a spare room that functions as a guest room and study.

The house is in a convenient and central location, near Port Meadow and several peaceful waterways and footpaths. It is next to a Waitrose and Nisa Local on Botley road, and just down the road from an Aldi. The train station is ten minutes’ walk away.
