Warm and bright house with rural outlook, just a fifteen-minute walk (or three-minute drive) to Cholsey station with direct trains to Oxford, Reading and London. A short walk takes you to Cholsey slipway with access to the River Thames — perfect for paddle boarding, walks and running routes along the Thames Path.

Cholsey village is an active community with a Tesco Express, butcher, cafés, a gym, social and exercise clubs, a community library and plenty of beautiful walks. It’s also a short drive or cycle ride to Wallingford, a vibrant market town with lots going on and wider amenities, including larger supermarkets.

The room
A south-facing, furnished double room with a comfortable king-size bed and excellent storage: a double built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and desk. Bright, clean and ready to move into.

The house
You’ll be sharing a warm, modern home with fast, reliable internet, a garden and main use of the bathroom (my room has an en-suite). There is also plenty of parking.

Looking for
A respectful, considerate and friendly lodger who appreciates a clean, well-kept home. Would suit a professional seeking a peaceful base with good transport links. Must be cat- and family-friendly.

Open to full-time or Monday–Friday lets.
