Double room in friendly veggie house

Space opening up in a friendly veggie four-person house in Cowley! We have a spacious double room (£495 + bills) starting in August 2024 for 1 year.

THE HOUSE
It's big. We have *two* living rooms, one continuous with the large kitchen. One bathroom is shared by three flatmates including you (the fourth has an en suite), and there's an extra toilet in the utility room. An outbuilding is great for additional room for storage, crafts and exercise. The large garden is south-facing and amazing in the summer. Two of us have cars so a third would be a squeeze. There is street parking.

THE ROOM
The room is fully furnished with a double bed, a desk, drawers and a wardrobe (just outside room). The room is 'cosy' but the abundance of space in the house makes up for it. £495 + bills.

THE LOCATION
We're just off Cowley Road, a 15-minute cycle from the city centre, a stone's throw from Florence Park and Cowley Marsh Recreation Ground. We're the last house in a cul-de-sac, neighboured on one side by allotments, making it a very peaceful spot - no traffic going past. Those working in Headington can take a quiet shortcut over fields to get up the hill.

HOUSEMATES
Early-thirties, environmentally friendly, veggie and generally friendly and we want to keep it that way :-)

Kate - Community sport manager and as the job suggests likes sports and can be caught doing a jigsaw puzzle on a quiet evening.
Franzi - post doc, gardening queen, cinema enthusiast and the ultimate hummus maker.
Andrea - Italian engineer who is surprisingly good at breaking things, commonly found in the pub and is attempting to travel the world.

YOU
The usual - friendly, clean, tidy, quiet late at night, happy both to mingle and to do your own things. A desire to share veggie cooking once in a while is a plus!

BILLS & CONTRACT
Bills are something like £120 a month on average (energy, council tax, wifi, water). The contract with College & County estate and is a fixed term contract until August 2025. The deposit is £495.
