Lovely Jericho Room Available from mid-April!

Hello!

From mid-April 2026, we will have a double room (with a shared bathroom) available in a lovely and homely flat in Jericho! As our flatmate is sadly moving back home, we are looking for someone to take his room for 5 months as a sublet, with the option to sign onto the contract officially in September if things go well! (Subject to reference and financial checks by the lettings agency).

Your room will be the second one featured in the video! :)

📍 Location:
- Central Jericho: right next to some great pubs, cafés, and Port Meadow for a nice wander!
- 10–15 mins walk to Oxford city centre and the train station. Add an extra 5 minutes onto that if you’re short like I am.

🏠 The Flat:
- Your room contains a double bed, desk, and built-in wardrobe for any fashionistas out there.
- You will be sharing a large bathroom with Nabeela, so cleanliness is a big must!
- We’re on the second floor (sadly with no lift, so there is no disabled access available) with very quiet neighbours.
- Large living room with a connecting kitchen (equipped with a dishwasher) and a little dining area for anyone looking to have a dinner party!🍝
- We also have a small balcony that we’re itching to use as soon as the sun comes out, especially as it overlooks the canal.
- The lettings agency is always quick to fix anything, so no nightmare landlords here!
- There’s a secure bike shed by the entrance for any aspiring Tour de France-ers 🚴‍♀️

👯‍♀️A little bit about us:
- Nabeela: I’m 32 years old and recently post-DPhil at Oxford. I’m a medical doctor by background from South Africa, currently working in consulting. I work for clients across the country (sometimes overseas) and am also hybrid working from my room on most days. Work keeps me busy in the week! I love reading, skincare, walks and good company - alongside some ‘me’ time.
- Ashlea: I’m a 30-year-old DPhil student but I also work, so I’m out of the house at least 3 times a week from 8:30-5:30pm or so. My resolution for this year is to host a dinner party once a month to bring all of my friends together, which you’re more than welcome to join!
- I love a trashy reality show as much as I’ll watch a prestige drama, but don’t ask me about Married at First Sight Australia unless you want to hear about every facet of the show!! My clubbing days are sadly over, but I’ll happily go to the pub for a few pints (the Rickety Press and the Harcourt Arms are my fave).
- Both of us love to watch a new series together (currently Bridgerton) in the living room but we equally understand that you may need some Me Time in your room! ♥️

We’re looking for someone kind and considerate, who will also respect cleanliness and noise levels during the day if we’re working from home, and also late at night. Hopefully, you will become part of the flat and someone we call a friend :)

💷 The practical parts:
- Rent: £975 + bills (roughly £70-£90 per month, depending on how much we’ve hogged the bathroom or put the heating on).
- Move-in: Mid-April (exact date TBC).
- Sadly, we cannot consider anyone with pets or couples, or those who smoke, due to our tenancy agreement (as much as I’d love a dog in the flat 😔).
