Short term let: from may 15th-15th aug

Ad ref# 17015876

Our landlord is sadly moving back into the home permanently come August 15th and one of our housemates is moving out in May so we have a shortterm let available.

We're 4 living in a big 1930ish semi-detached at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in new Marston. The house is great, albeit a bit old fashioned. We keep it clean and welcoming, making it a home. We've formed close friendships with housemates past and present.

The room is a large double on the 1st floor, with a huge mirrored wardrobe.

There's a full bathroom (toilet, bath and separate stand up shower not visible in the picture) on the first floor as well as a downstairs toilet, a good sized kitchen and a massive living room come dining area where you'll find us most nights hanging out.

Finally, the garden is huge and real treasure. Lots of space for bikes, gardening bits and paddleboards etc.

We have all the kitchen utensils, towels, blankets etc. but you can bring whatever you have too! . Rent includes all the bills as well as communal stuff like cleaning things and loo roll.

Us: Welsh Hannah (33) and Kenyan Njoki (29) working in charity fundraising and data respectively. Both enjoy doing meals/drinks/films/gigs/paddleboarding/theatre/festivals/camping trips etc. together. We enjoy having a laugh but also discussing politics and setting the world to rights. We love music: blues, jazz, soul, house, disco, tech, drum n bass, acoustic, rock, indie, folk, dnb, reggae, roots, dub. Hannah does volunteer/activism work - a lot with Palestine currently, and Njoki is also involved in a nonprofit organisation called R-Ladies Global, whose aim is to promote gender diversity in the R community. Njoki is the organiser of a chapter back at home in Kenya (R-Ladies Nairobi).
Pete is in his 50s and is a postie. He does his own thing and we rarely see him.

Location: House is in a great location, centred between all the key parts of Oxford. We're just a 25 minute walk from Cowley road or a 10 minute cycle. Centre of town & Jericho are more or less the same distance to Cowley road, and the route is along a beautiful cycle path past Uni Parks. We have a Co-op, pharmacy and post office at the end of the road. The JR is also a short walk away, as is the number 13 bus stop. Getting on the A40 ring road is super easy if you need to get the otherside of Oxford or further afield. (I commute this way to work to south Oxford/Didcot area and it's a breeze). Can also pickup the Oxford tube from outside Brookes or near St. Clement's real easy. Basically location is top!

Other bits: We've got off road parking and manage to get 4 cars on with a bit of juggling. The cul-de-sac itself is really safe and quiet with a mixture of houseshares like us, young families and retirees.

Pop us a message if you're interested with a little about yourselves and any questions and we'll go from there.
