Room to rent in a cosy three-person flat

Hello! We are two PhD students looking for a flatmate to join us in our three-bed flat on Banbury Road in Summertown. The room is available from now until July 14th 2026.

*About the house*

Our flat is a really nice, newly-refurbished three-person flat. It has a shared living room, a nice kitchen (with washing machine and dishwasher), a bathroom and a separate toilet. The spare room is spacious and furnished with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The carpet is very fluffy :)

The room is located just above the Costa on Banbury Road. It’s a great location with shops really close by, and a bus stop right outside that can take you to the city centre in 15 minutes. You can apply for permits to park on the street outside, and there is a secure space at the back of the flat to store bikes.

The rent is £766.67 per month. There’s also bills, which comes to about £70 each per month. If you aren’t a student you’d also have to pay council tax, which would be £150 per month. There is also a deposit of £845. The contract lasts until July 14th 2026, after which you would get the deposit back.

*About us*

Ben and I (Tom) are PhD students - Ben is doing a Chemistry PhD, and I am doing Physics. We have been friends for four years thanks to Oxford Universities Quadball Club (a niche sport like a mixture between handball and dodgeball). We also share an interest in boardgames and very big magnets. Ben likes rollercoasters and I like playing the piano.

*What we’re looking for*

We are looking for a friendly flatmate to join our house. We’d appreciate a flatmate who is considerate and reasonably tidy. We would love to make a new friend and invite you to play boardgames or go to the pub with us sometimes :)
