Double room available to move in from 7th March, in a friendly, spacious, quiet shared house. Long or long term let.
The double room is large, (4.25m x 5m), quiet with lots of natural light, and nice views of trees and gardens. The room has a wooden floor, a desk, office chair, a comfortable double bed, a wooden bedframe and head rest, two chest of drawers, a clothes rail, and there is plenty of storage space.
There is an annual free unlimeted parking permit available from the council, which costs £80 per year, and there is plenty of parking near the house.
It is fine to work from home. The other lodgers are professionals and academics working in 9 to 5 jobs,
and work from home for some of the week. The house is well maintained and tidy.
There is a sitting room with comfortable sofas, which adjoins the kitchen / diner and a large, well equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a Bosch washing machine, a large Bosch fridge with a seperate freezer, and a under counter fridge and and seperate under counter freezer, a range stove, with a 5 ring gas hob, and 3 electric ovens and a microwave.
The sitting room adjoing the kitchen has a DAB /smart radio, and opens onto the garden which is south west facing , and has a hammock, and outdoor table and chairs. The garden has beautiful views, and nice trees and plants.
The house has a gas central heating Worcester Bosch green star combi boiler, which heats up the rooms quickly, and the hot water for showers is instant and unlimited, (and not from a hot water tank); and the house has double glazing and is draft proofed and warm.
The room offered includes all bills: fast, reliable Virgin broadband, gas central heating, electricity, water rates, council tax and there is a TV licence. The house is non-smoking and non vaping.
Iffley has a nice community shop, which you can collect and send parcels from, and has food, and other household essentials; and there are two pubs, a village hall which has film nights, music concerts, talks, yoga, pilates and other classes.
Magdalen road is nearby with cafes and resturants, a bakery, a gym and yoga classes.
The Cowley shopping centre is nearby, with gyms, and a Lidl and Sainsburys supermarket. The Coop in Rosehill has a post office.
It is a short walk from the house to the river Thames. It is possible to walk or cycle to the city centre along the Thames path, or go down river to the countryside.
The bus stop on the Iffley road is 7 minutes walk, and there are frequent direct buses to:
the city centre and the University of Oxford, Oxford science parks, and the ST1 bus to Harwell; and direct buses to Brookes university, Headington and Headington hospitals.
