Homeshare with an older person in Sutton Courtenay

There is a lovely opportunity to share a comfortable and spacious home, set in a large garden, in the pretty village of Sutton Courtenay, three miles south of Abingdon and a mile from Culham.

This gentle, quiet homeowner enjoys a peaceful home. Classical music has been an important part of her life and she has been involved in the local church and village community. She continues to live independently, with memory impairment and has supportive family living close by as well as other regular support.

The homeowner is used to having people in the house, having had lodgers in the past, and would enjoy quiet companionship and the reassurance of there being someone else around. Whilst she is happy to prepare her own food and have meals independently of each other, she would welcome some company in the evenings, perhaps a chat over a cup or tea or watching a bit of TV together.

A car driver, able to help with shopping and the odd lift to a friend’s house for example , would be important.

This would suit an independent, kind, understanding person who is familiar with dementia and has experience of living with, or supporting, someone with memory loss. Someone who may need to work from home some of the time would be welcome too.
