Double room in a house with a cat

My Spare Room is in a cottage in Balbeggie, which is a small village just outside of Scone, near Perth. It is within commuting distance of Dundee and the new Kingsway road makes locations on the A9 very accessible.

There are 3 bedrooms, a living room/dining area with a wood burning stove, kitchen, bathroom and a garden.

I host meditation sessions online every day except Sunday. I have trained in reiki, energetic magic, spiritual healing and a couple of other modalities.

I enjoy learning languages - mainly French but I'm also currently learning Japanese and Portuguese. I visited Japan last year, Australia this year and plan to spend time in Canada in the summer of 2026 - my son and granddaughter live in Toronto.

My current housemate has been with me for a year, but has now bought her own place and will be moving shortly. Having a housemate has worked really well. We have enjoyed our own space but usually once a week, we have a shared meal and watch TV together.

I previously hosted language students of all ages when I lived in Edinburgh and in Perthshire, I hosted 4 Japanese students through the UHI.

I am mainly vegetarian but also eat fish. I don't have a problem sharing with people who eat meat.

I have an elderly cat who despite a very poor prognosis, is still hanging on and enjoying her life!. She may not be around for much longer but in the meantime, my housemate has to be a cat lover.
