Large room with amazing countryside views

*Please note* If you do not drive this will not work as the house is in the middle of the countryside, there is no alternative way of getting around and there is no convenient bus or rail service.

Available end of October/early November, looking for a short term housemate, ideally 3-6 months as I may be moving my partner in long term, however a longer stay could be negotiated.

That being said…hello and thanks for looking, the room I have available is large and light and will be freshly decorated prior to moving in. It features exposed wooden beams and can comfortably accommodate a double bed. It has a built in wardrobe and storage as well as a sink and taps (weirdly) but these have been decommissioned. The room has amazing views over Blagdon lake. It has two radiators, I can remove or leave the drawer unit that is currently in there.

The rest of the house is clean and minimally decorated but cosy, it would suit someone who doesn’t own a lot of stuff as I’d like to keep the living areas clutter free. I don’t own a TV as I prefer to read or listen to music but you’re welcome to bring one. The house is charming if a little tatty around the edges but I’m slowly making my way through these jobs in order to spruce it up.
I am a peaceful and friendly person, I don’t drink, smoke or go out and would prefer someone with a calm and peaceful demeanour to match. I don’t mind if you drink or smoke but smoking outside only please. It is not a party house so if you enjoy having mates over on the weekend then unfortunately this isn’t the house for you. I spend my days at work as a joiner and most of my weekends out on my bike, surfing or visiting my girlfriend in Devon, in the evenings I spend cooking, gardening and winding down.

The kitchen opens up onto a balcony with quite possibly the best view around, you’re welcome to use my fire pit and any other bits and bobs if you’re interested. I’m someone who is happy to share food and ingredients within reason.

Any questions let me know, you’re welcome to come and view during weekdays after 6pm. It would particularly suit someone working at Bristol airport (12-15 min drive) or student or young professional studying at Langford vet school, bills are included and we don’t pay council tax as the land is privately owned.
