A large double room is available for rent in a well furnished Victorian terraced cottage in a desirable part of town. The cottage is two minutes’ walk from the top of the High Street. Parking is close by, although not immediately outside the house.
The female owner no longer lives in the house, although visits regularly to care for the garden and undertake any maintenance. The lodger therefore has the shared facilities to themselves most of the time.
The bedroom has a double bed (including high quality mattress), large wardrobe, two chests, bookshelf and a desk and chair. Facilities include a fully equipped galley kitchen, cosy sitting room with TV, dining/living room with French windows to the garden, bathroom (with bath and shower) and sunny and private garden. There is gas CH and a wood burner in the dining/living room.
The lodger is responsible for gas and electricity, but all other bills (Council Tax, water, TV licence and Wifi) are included in the rent.
The owner is looking for an eco-conscious non-smoking professional in employment. The room is initially available until next April, but this is flexible and may be for longer by arrangement.
