Short-Term Double Room in Cardiff Bay

Spacious double room available in a quiet Cardiff Bay flat, ideally suited to a professional working in Cardiff on a short contract. Perfect for those working in the arts, theatre, film or TV, particularly with venues such as the Wales Millennium Centre and nearby BBC studios within easy reach.

The room is fully furnished and largely self-contained, with plenty of storage, a fridge and a small convection oven so you can prepare simple meals in the room. You will also have access to your own private bathroom. The main living room is shared.

Kitchen access is limited to the sink only (not for cooking), as this is a strictly nut-free household due to a severe allergy, and separate cooking equipment cannot be shared. The setup works well for professionals who mainly eat out or keep simple food in the room.

The flat is about a 10-minute walk from Cardiff Bay railway station and Cardiff Bay itself, making it a very convenient location for the Bay and city centre. There is no on-site parking, but free parking is available a short walk away.

All bills are included: electricity, water and broadband.

About the home: I’m a friendly professional in my late 30s looking for a respectful lodger who enjoys a calm, tidy environment. Monday–Friday stays are ideal, although occasional weekends are fine by arrangement. Minimum stay considered from one week, maximum three months.

There are cats in the property, so you’ll need to be comfortable around them. For their safety, balcony doors remain locked and windows have restrictors.

I’m very used to hosting theatre digs, and the flat is occasionally booked for this as well. At present, the room is unavailable 12–16 March, for one week from 20 April, and for two weeks from 9 August. All other dates are currently available. If you are looking for a longer stay that overlaps with these dates, there may be some flexibility, so please do get in touch and don’t be put off.
