Living Room

Come and live in our welcoming, social & creative home in cathays!

About the space:
There is a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, plenty of communal pots and pans, a dining room, living room with tv and biofuel fire! A utility room with washing machine/dryer and a “studio room” used for storage and arts/crafts/making things. The upstairs bathroom has walk-in shower. The bedroom available comes with a double bed, chest of drawers and clothes rail. It is currently painted plain white but you are welcome to paint it if you want and hang pictures. There is also a spare room and an attic accessed via ladder for storage.

There is a lovely garden which gets the morning sun to enjoy. We store bikes locked to the railings out in the front and they have all been safe so far. I’m hoping to build a more secure/weatherproof storage out from this summer.

The household
The household comprises of me, working in healthcare and my friend who works in theatre. We also have a lovely cat called ffrank who is the light of our lives. She is very sweet, not very cuddly but enjoys strokes, she likes to nap around the house and usually comes to sit in whichever room we are in.

We are friendly house who have fun together. We both have busy lives and aren’t always in but when we are we all share the communal spaces. I enjoy friends dropping by and having friends and family to stay and you are welcome to use the space and spare room for the same.

We are looking for someone who will contribute to this happy household. It would suit someone who is communally-focussed, open-minded, creative, someone who is interested in other people and someone who would contribute to the vibe of the house whilst also respecting the space and people’s need for quiet time.

Unfortunately it would not suit someone who works from home frequently as I work nightshifts so sometimes need the house to be quiet in the day. We will consider mature students, although the add is aimed at professionals.

Bills are included. There is street parking by permit however during university terms parking can be tricky sometimes.
