Room to Rent

Hi

I’m looking to rent my spare room and it’s available from 1st May. Rent is £425.00 per calendar month and utilities and WiFi included. Deposit is £200. It’s a lovely flat based above a shop right in the centre of Dinas Powys village. There are 3 pubs and 3 take away restaurants within 2 minutes walk and Dinas Powys train station is 5 minutes walk away. Parking is on street behind the property. Really nice open countryside within a short walk if you’re into that sort of thing. I also have a large garden and flat roof which is great when it’s sunny.

Me: I’m 51. Not massively happy about that as I still feel young! I’m a Food & Beverage Manager and work a lot of hours. I have two children who don’t live with or near me but they do visit ocasionally for a couple of days so you would need to be ok with this. We all sleep in my room as its quite large! I’m pretty clean and tidy and whilst I’m quite a social person I do enjoy my down time at home after a long day being nice to people.! I’m very relaxed and am always happy to help out those around me. I guess you can make your own judgement when you meet me! I’m an occasional smoker but obviously don’t smoke indoors and I do enjoy a glass of beer of an evening if I’m not working.

You: Must be clean & tidy and respectful of space and privacy as I will be to you. Very social and active as I do enjoy a good chat. As we will be sharing a house its important we get on! No working from home workers or night shift workers please :(
I’d prefer a female lodger as I find women are generally much more considerate of shared space and cleaning up. However I’d be happy to consider a male who also wants to live in a clean and tidy house.

The flat is fully furnished with my own stuff which you are of course free to use. Your room however is part furnished with a bed, hanging rail, bedside table and curtains.

I'm happy for you to have house guests if you have a partner but it just can't be all the time .

I would consider someone with a small dog also. Not sure if its suitable for a cat as there's no catflap here.

Rent runs from 1st to last of the month. 1 month notice required from either side to end agreement and notice must run concurrently with rent period.
