Double room to let in Barnsley Mapplewell area from End January.

Room Comes with double bed, on drive parking, use of the Kitchen and lounge. Bills included. Property is council tax band D. I have broadband, telly wise I have freeview and Netflix but don’t subscribe to any other tv services.

You Will be sharing the house with live in landlord (me). I work both from home and also work away a few days a week. I am pretty quiet and keep to myself. I spend time at my partners place sometimes so I won’t be always around. I’ve lived with males/females before and pretty much get on with anyone. I have also been a tenant (mon-fri) in the past so have experience from both sides.
I currently have one tenant of 2 month who is coming to the end of his short term tenancy. Previous tenants have been and two female professionals of 6 months and 14 months. Reasons for giving notice are change of job circumstances and also opportunity to work from home.

My mother comes round once a week to use my washing machine to do her laundry.

I have good neighbours, they are not noisy and We get on well.

I will also consider a Monday to Friday professional person and would adjust the rent advertised accordingly. I’m pretty flexible so the odd weekend or coming back early on a Sunday isn’t an issue and you can keep your things in the bedroom over the weekend if you so wish.


10 mins walk to the nearest bus stop at mapplewell coop to get into town. 30 min walk to Darton station. If you work at barnsley hospital, you would need a car as it would be two buses to get there, one into town and another from town to the hospital.
