Simply put, there is no other house or opportunity for a place to live like this in Suffolk.
This is not just a house, it’s a home. This opportunity is for the full time use of the main double bedroom, and use of the remaining property most of the time. There’s also a double sofa bed available for you to have others stay.
We are a sensible, respectful, hard working professional couple. I would like to give the opportunity to assist a professional and respectable individual ( or couple but with added bills ) with no children or pets who are looking for a nice home and feeling of huggee in the Christchurch area of Ipswich.
Located perfectly balanced between walking distance to Christchurch park, the marina and the centre of town.
Private access via the side gate leads to a beautiful courtyard garden transforming you from the busy central streets of Ipswich into the access of a cute, quaint and charming 1880’s house.
The house is clean throughout, with a new boiler service done every year, recently repainted rooms and a refreshed bathroom. Fire alarms are fitted in every room. Bike storage in a secure bike box. Fast Wi-Fi, No TV
Permit on street parking usually with no trouble of finding space locally during the day.
Easy parking right by the door in evenings and weekends.
Courtyard garden with a large undercover decked area which is amazing for sitting outside in the rain.
The BEDROOM.
Consisting of a double bed, basic mattress supplied but would advise a new one, 3 door built in wardroom, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Contains a character fire place perfect for safe use of candles. (Bed & Mattress can be removed if preferred).
The EN-SUITE LOUNGE.
You will have access to an on suite lounge located on the first floor. Usually home to a small sofa and wine bar, it’s a great spot for relaxing and entertaining. It’s the centre of the home, with views overlooking the courtyard garden. Central fireplace adds to the character of the room. This room also contains another wardrobe and writing bureau which is perfect as a desk or study area. There is also a storage cupboard for towels, bedding etc.
The BATHROOM.
Glass doored walk in corner shower with good water pressure. A separate double ended bath providing a very comfortable and relaxing soak. Towel rail and cupboard space finishes the bathroom nicely. All shower seals and sealant have been redone making for a fresh feel last year.
The DINING ROOM.
Original wooden floor and a selection of oldie world furnishings makes this room feel comfortable and warm. The feeling of an old log cabin, the electric fire gives off a warming effect and the table is big enough to sit six people for dinner. The display cabinet is great for showing off some key pieces.
The KITCHEN.
A timeless style galley kitchen with an integrated oven, grill and microwave.
Even the sink taps are good quality. A further coat of paint in here is still required, and looking to paint with earthy and bright colours. Access to individuals fridge and freezer. Fitted washing machine. Fully stocked with kettle, pans etc
The CLOAK ROOM
A handy space for placing your coats and hats, the cloakroom also has its own storage. In a state of renovation.
The LIBRARY
Typically a ground floor lounge, but in this case a large selection of books and maps, including a very good selection of traveling books from around the world. It has another fold out double sofa bed and is a great room for reading, with a comfortable wingback reading chair. When I’m at the property this would be my place of sleep. But otherwise you will also have access to this room.
The WINE CELLAR
A storage room in the basement of the house, currently in the process of being worked on , but offerings good place to store your odd bits you may have , and to do the laundry. Ow yes and of course for entertaining guests once completed.
