Hi!
We are an active and friendly family of three looking for a female lodger or a couple (female couples included) to live in our house. We are not looking for a male lodger, so please don't ask - even if you are really nice!
We ask for £750 per calendar month for a single person and £950pcm for a couple - inclusive of bills, council tax and wifi.
We both come from arts backgrounds, which gives the house some of its flavour. We work from home. We have a small, very cuddly dog and a flock of chickens.
We like getting to know our lodgers and remain friends with all the lodgers who have lived with us.
The accommodation is spacious and offers lots of privacy.
Lodgers have their own KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM and WC. The DOUBLE BEDROOM has a basin.
The accommodation is as follows...
On the ground floor there is the lodger's kitchen with a backdoor giving independent access from the street. There is hanging space in the hallway for coats and a shoe rack. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc. There is a clothes dryer in the adjacent “Boot Room”. The washing machine and dryer are shared with us.
On the first floor there is a bathroom with bath and shower, with a separate WC for lodgers on the landing. This bathroom is shared with the family.
On the top floor there is a landing leading to the lodger's living room and double bedroom, which have an interconnecting 'porthole' doorway. There is a built-in hanging cupboard and lots of storage space. The living room has views of Ranmore to the North and the bedroom looks over our large garden to the South. It's a really nice part of the house, filled with light.
The house is free-standing and sits in an acre of beautiful garden. If you like growing your own veg there is the possibility of having your own patch.
It is a 30 minute walk to Dorking Main and Deepdene stations. All the amenities that Dorking has to offer are even closer.
