Affordable accommodation offered in MITCHEM, SURREY – CR4 area, excellent opportunity for a MALE or FEMALE Homesharer looking to live in a lovely home.

We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help, support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.

Fair Green bus routes.
• Less than one mile walk to Colliers Wood Tube

HOUSEHOLDER
The Householder is in her late 70’s a lovely lady, she has a quiet nature and enjoys her routine in the home. She is registered with Learning Disabilities, and also has Parkinson. She has had a supportive family and has extended members that she is in contact with, a family friend has been living with her since her Brother passed away.
She would like some day time assistance which may include answering calls, operating the TV or laptop for activities which she is unable to comprehend and operate for herself. Prompting for food and drink requirements at mealtimes/throughout the day as required. Keeping mindful attendance for potential vulnerabilities arising.
She enjoys using the computer for a card game of Solitaire, enjoys watching TV. Particularly quiz programmes, programmes on buying and selling like Antique Road Show, Flog It, etc. as well as others like Inspector Morse and Repair Shop. She has enjoyed the family connection with Cricket and will watch Cricket and Snooker on the TV. Comprehension of TV viewing content is not always entirely clear. Historically has enjoyed trips to restaurants and theatre performances.
She shows a particular keen interest in members of the Royal Family, and is particularly fond Princess Grace of Monaco history, having a collection of books and pictures around her interests. She has a remarkable memory for names and dates.

The family are attracted to Homesharing as they like the idea of having an extra presence in the house who is able to offer some support to her and the reassurance to her family with the overnight presence and some companionship.

ACCOMMODATION
A 3 bedroom terrace house.
The Homesharer will have a bedroom with a single bed a double wardrobe, cupboards plenty of storage the room is overlooking the garden.
There is shared facilities the bathroom, Kitchen/diner and lounge

Internet is available in the house.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
The procedure is filling in an application form and a profile, getting references from current/former employers and then start the procedure of matching. The room is available immediately subject to DBS and Reference checks and after an initial meeting has been organised.
