Note that this is NOT an impersonal estate agency kind of situation. You will be living in our home.

Quiet and peaceful home environment. Good situation for a DISCREET, RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE professional man to rent a room. This is NOT a house-share, NOR a "buddy-up". It's a one-person room in our house for a male lodger.

Minimum age: 28. Older preferred (30s / 40s upward).

Large upstairs bedroom with single bed for single occupancy only, to let in quiet home in Old Woking, 25 minutes on foot from Woking station. Buses nearby.

Roadside (free) parking space possibly in front of house, and if not, then in nearby free car-park. Secure outdoor bicycle storage. Bus stops nearby for routes serving Woking and Guildford. Good local shops. Fast food not far away.

Pleasant south-facing well-kept garden, warm, sunny and sheltered.

Any lodgers in our house tend to keep themselves to themselves. NB This does not mean no contact between you and us! but our home is quiet, no noise.

A lodger will be out at work all day. Preferably not shift work or working from home.

Kitchen available for cooking for yourself - air-fryer, hot plates, microwave. Oven not available.

We need to point out that there is no "communal lounge."

A PLUS: We will do your washing (in reasonable quantities) for no extra charge. No other bills to pay.

The household has two friendly cats, and lodgers need to be reasonably cat-friendly.

STRICTLY non-smoking. (We may take up references.)

We would be particularly pleased to meet considerate men from a family background ("domesticated!"), who know about the importance of things like turning off lights when they are not needed, going up and down the stairs carefully, opening and closing doors QUIETLY, using headphones in the bedroom, leaving the kitchen and bathroom impeccable after use, etc. If such things matter to you, then we would be happy to meet you.

The date of availability is early June.

Terms: deposit on reservation, first month's rent on Day One of occupancy, one month notice of departure.
