Double room in house share in beautiful Richmond

Ad ref# 14993818

Availability: available from 01 May
Minimum term: 1 year

The house: Lovely 3-bed Victorian terrace with great private garden (We have a little patio- perfect for BBQ’s and an evening glass of vino)

Tastefully decorated, there are fitted blinds and carpet throughout. Shared living room, dining room/study, kitchen (with, washing machine, life saving dishwasher and microwave), bathroom with bath and overhead shower, separate WC, under-stair storage cupboard and spacious garden shed.

Bedroom: £693 per month. 1st Floor double room at the front of the house. The room is decorated neutrally and benefits from lovely natural daylight. The room is not ginormous but as you can see from the photos a double bed fits perfectly, leaving enough space for a chest of drawers, under bed storage and a small wardrobe or a pull out day bed also works really well. If you need more storage space, we are very happy for a wardrobe to be put downstairs in the back room - our current housemate does this.

There is also plenty of storage room elsewhere in the house with already noted shared under-stairs storage and more shared space in the garden shed.

Furnishing: Unfurnished, however the outgoing tenant would be happy to sell the existing wardrobes if this would be of interest.

Parking: Free, on-road parking is available on the road outside the house and on nearby streets. Availability is usually good.

Location: Manor Road, Richmond.
Insanely photogenic local areas (Richmond Park is just a 10 min walk away), totally spoilt for choice for great local shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Various celebrity neighbours including the winner of ‘Cutest pub Dog 2017’. We feel really lucky to be in such a bloody lovely spot!

Large Sainsburys supermarket, and Majestic wine on our doorstep & great local pubs just a few mins away.

3min walk to North Sheen mainline station (28min to London Waterloo).
11min walk to Richmond mainline & underground station & Richmond town centre.
15min walk to Richmond riverside.
Easy to get into and out of London via M3, M4 and M25

Housemates: Shared with two female tenants in their late 30s. We are both professionals, one working at a conservation charity and the other is a photographer. You may stumble across the odd passed on perk from one of us!

We currently work a mix of from home and in the office and we do occasionally have to work late/start early/work weekends so it would be important for our new housemate to be considerate with that just as we are and would like someone who can fit in with the same chilled vibe.

When we aren’t working you are likely to find Meg whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen or out exploring the local area with a bunch of furry four legged friends. Laura you may find at a gig in town or exploring local Kew Gardens.

If we’re fully fed and the sun’s gone in, you might find us watching TV with a glass of something (There is no snobbery about programme choices here- bring on the Love Island binge watching). If we’re out, then it’s likely to be on a dog walk, a cycle round Richmond park or at one of the hundreds of pubs around here.

A preferred tenant would be 32-42 years old, professional, clean & tidy, laid back, considerate, sociable & friendly who doesn’t mind the odd swear word from Meg or the sound of Laura’s daily juicing machine! Bonus points if you’re good at pub quizzes or gardening.

Apologies but strictly no smokers, children, pets or couples sharing (no problem with your significant other visiting every now and then!). Please don't ask re pets. We would absolutely love to make an exception as we are dog obsessed, but we've recently asked the landlord who said no. Sorry about that.

It’s most important to us that we find someone who would fit in well in the house- this is our home rather than a ever changeable house share and we’d like to continue that feel.

Would consider a Mon-Fri let for right person.

Rent: £693 pcm.
Bills: £200 pcm approx (some utilities are metered, so monthly charges vary depending on usage). Includes utilities, council tax, TV licence and broadband . All bills are shared equally between us.

Deposit: £ 750.00 Managed under the TDS scheme. Payable to outgoing tenant.

If you like the sound of the house and us, please drop us a line with a little bit about you and we’ll be in touch to arrange a viewing.

Thanks 😊
