We’re looking for a kind, clean, considerate and independent female professional or student to join our peaceful and friendly home.
Our charming cottage is nestled in the heart of Shere, often described as Surrey’s most picturesque village, set within the stunning Surrey Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). If you love countryside living with cafés, cosy pubs, and scenic walks right on your doorstep, this is something special.
🏡 The Home & Atmosphere
We’re independent and busy with our own lives, but enjoy friendly chats in the kitchen or garden and the occasional glass of wine, cup of tea, or shared meal outside in the warmer months. It’s a calm, respectful, and easy-going household.
🐾 We share the cottage with Neffy, a lovely black cat — so you must genuinely enjoy having a cat around.

Beautiful walking and cycling routes from the front door
Fantastic local restaurants and welcoming pubs all within walking distance
💡 Practicalities
Bills: Flat rate of £180 per month
Excellent internet speed

🚗 Optional Car Rental
If helpful, there’s also the option to rent a little red Renault Clio for £200 per month (rolling contract). It’s older and has a few cosmetic dents, but it’s reliable, fuel-efficient, taxed, insured (you’d be added as a named driver), and comes with AA breakdown cover. You’d just cover petrol, cleaning, and basic upkeep like oil and tyre pressure.
