The flat

I have 2 double rooms available in my very large (100m2 plus) ground floor Victorian flat. The first room has a double bed with storage underneath, a freestanding wardrobe and chests of drawers The second bedroom has a double bed with storage, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside units. Both the mattresses are brand new.

The flat has two living rooms, so plenty of space to relax or work. The main living room contains a TV, sofa, chairs and bookcases. The second living room houses a desk, sofa and built in shelves..

The flat has two bathrooms, one with a bath/shower and one with a shower, so no need to queue in the morning. There is also a large, bright kitchen diner where you can cook and eat (duh!). The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine, a large American-style fridge freezer, two ovens, a hob and a microwave oven.

I’m lucky enough to have a paved back garden for topping up your vitamin D and entertaining. There’s also a secure shed for storage of bikes etc.

There is space on the drive for at least one car, and free on-street parking available outside the property.

Almost all the furniture is brand new. Bills are included in the rent.

The property is protected by a Ring doorbell and security system.

I’m Liz, and I’m a live in landlord. I’m 30 and a secondary school teacher. I like baking, walks in the park, and going to the theatre. I’ve lived in shared flats for quite a few years, so used to living with others. Plus any issues in the flat will be sorted quickly because it’s my home too!

The flatmates.

I’m quite relaxed, but would like housemates who are tidy and peaceful. In previous houseshares, I have enjoyed chilling out in the of the TV with housemates when people aren’t off doing their own thing. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the property. I do not mind males or females, but no couples please.

Location

The flat is in South Croydon, walking distance from the bus garage, which is served by 6 bus routes. The nearest train stations are South Croydon (12 mins walk) and Sanderstead (15 mins walk), with trains into London, or out to Surrey. From South Croydon station, you can get to London Bridge in 20 minutes, or London Victoria in 40. You can also get to East Croydon, which has faster connections to London Victoria, as well as trains to Brighton, Cambridge and many other places.

Croydon town centre is a half hour walk away, or 10 minutes on the bus. Croydon town centre has many retail outlets, bars and restaurants, and a theatre.

There’s a small range of shops, takeaways, and a garage a few minutes walk away. There’s a big Tesco in Purley, a Morrisons in Waddon, and a Sainsburys on Purley Way.
