We have a spare room that we would like to rent out. We are a married couple with 2 daughters at home aged 11 and 17, 1 son at university, and we have 1 female lodger who is 23, and is in a bedroom on the 1st floor. The room we are offering is a double bedroom on the 2nd floor next to a spare bathroom which no-one else in the house uses. Dinner is included, but if we are out or away you will have to take care of your own dinner. All utilities are included (gas, electricity, council tax, internet access.. all are included in the rental). You will need to provide your own breakfast and lunch. You will be able to use the fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer; or you may hang clothes to dry outside (in the back garden), or in your room. There is a quiet residential road opposite our house with plenty of parking space. It's a 20 minute walk to Walton-on-Thames train station, 10 minute walk to the high street, and 15 minute walk to the River Thames.. Our house has 2 reception rooms, so you are welcome to watch TV or relax downstairs - we have Netflix and Amazon Prime. Because of the age of our daughters we do not want a male lodger. If you have a boyfriend or a partner they are welcome to visit but they may not move in with you. We are renting the room to you as a single occupant. Similarly if you have friends or family who want to visit we can accommodate them for a few days. We both work at least 2 days a week in the office and on other days we work from home. We have had lodgers before and are easy-going and friendly, please contact us so that we can answer any questions you have.
