House share room available low rent

This is a toe in the water ad to gauge interest etc. I'm looking for a sharing arrangement to alleviate loneliness and potentially to assist with chores in exchange for significant rent reduction.

I would especially value assistance with looking after my labrador (walking/pet sitting if away).

There are potentially up to 3 spare rooms available in a 5 bedroom (band D) house with one reserved for my student son who will be here occasionally.

Other help that could be negotiated to reduce rent includes cleaning, cooking, decorating/DIY etc.

A primary consideration is added company so any agreement would be provisional and time limited based on how well we get along. This is far less of a commercial arrangement for me so potentially offers a great opportunity for the right person looking to save money.

The house is located in a good area of a lovely village (Burnopfield) with excellent access to local countryside. 20 minute (car) commute to Newcastle/Consett.

The house is spacious and the family bathroom could potentially be offered for almost exclusive use of tenants. There is a large living room in addition to the room mainly used by myself. The existing garage is used for storage and there is a second driveway that I currently allow a neighbour to use that could be made available.

The house itself hasn't been kept to the highest standards but is relatively clean hence the scope for decorating skills!

The area is quiet, pleasant with good local amenities (pubs, takeaways, food shop, buses etc) nearby.

In certain circumstances a child or children would be welcome with a parent. I have a range of toys and games from my own children and the local schools are excellent. I am a retired primary school teacher with three recently departed kids.
