Hello, I have two double rooms to rent in a large Georgian/Victorian house in Hebburn, overlooking the park. The house is on a very quiet street, with a beautiful park to the front, with large open spaces, tennis courts and a lawn bowls green. There is plenty of parking available on the street and it is very safe and quiet.
The house is 30 seconds from the park, 5 minutes from the high street, with a supermarket, shops, a pharmacy, doctors and dentists. The Metro is a 10 minute walk away, running multiple services each hour with a journey times of 20 minutes into central Newcastle and 10 minutes to the beach at South Shields.
It is my own house, and I will be living there too, though I’m super easy going and very eager for any new lodger to feel at home and free to be themselves. I am friendly, liberal and very down to earth and relaxed. I work full time in procurement so will be out of the house most weekdays.
The house is large, with three bedrooms, an office, a large family bathroom, separate toilet, large kitchen, dining room and living room. Apart from the bedroom, which is yours, all other rooms are free for use by everyone. There is fast internet, a washing machine, two fridges, a tumble dryer, and an abundance of cooking tools and gadgets all included for everyone’s use. The house is beautifully decorated throughout, with new carpets, flooring, fixtures and fittings. Each room on offer has a brand new double bed, wardrobes, drawers, bedside table, and some space to do work, though the shared office is also free for use, with a large desk, computer monitor and high speed internet access. A new television can also be provided in the bedroom should it be needed, but there is one in the living room with access to various streaming services such as Netflix and Apple TV.
All bills are included, as well as essentials such as toilet roll, cleaning materials, milk, tea bags. instant coffee and some other bits. Essentially you will be responsible for your own food, but if you need ketchup or milk for a hot drink there will always be some available for reasonable use. At present I don’t have a cleaner but intend on getting one for two hours per week to clean the shared areas.
The rooms will be available from mid to late September 2024. The preference would be for students, mature students or professionals of any sort. I think it would be a great environment for study, or those on work placement or from another country as part of their studies or professional development.
I am more than happy to discuss and would suggest a viewing at a convenient time.
Finally, I am more than happy for couples but this would only be for the £550 room because it is more suitable for two people, given the size. I’d also require an additional £100 per month for the room if couples were staying, meaning £650 per month total.
