I am due to move out by the middle of November. At that point I would be looking to rent out the whole flat for around £650 a month, using a management company.
I'm a live in landlord, 33, and enjoy yoga, cooking, sailing, diving, reading, movies and the xbox.
I have a double bedroom with en suite available to rent, as part of a two bed flat with shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom.
5 mins walk from the gym, retail parks and Tesco, 25 mins to the town centre and train station. Being right next to the canal there are great views and plenty of walks.
There is only one designated parking space per flat but plenty of on street options.
The kitchen, lounge and hall were all decorated in May.
The kitchen is well equipped as I love to cook and bake. You would have your own cupboard and fridge/freezer space. There's a washer/dryer which isn't too hard to use.
The lounge has a 3 person sofa, big TV and sound bar. I pay for Netflix, Disney, Amazon and Now TV so you don't have to! I also have a PS4 and Xbox Series X if you like games. I have a yoga corner and a laptop/printer/working from home set up too. It is cool and comfortable in the summer with a dyson fan and doors that open up for a view of the canal and lots of fresh air.
The bathroom is shared but the en suite is all yours! Both are modern and of a good size. The last lodger smoked in the en suite which is why it is being redecorated.
The double bedroom comes with a double bed, mattress, mirrored wardrobe, bed side tables and curtains. You would need your own bedding.
I work 9 to 5ish, Mon to Fri. I'm not much of a party person so you can expect there to be no noise from me after I've had my hot chocolate at 10.
Available for viewing most days. Feel free to message with any questions.
FAQs
It would only be single occupancy due to the size of the property, I'm not looking to rent to a couple. (Once Covid restrictions allow) Occasional visits are fine but not to the point it becomes someone's second home.
The key thing I look for is respect. Messy people (in shared areas), indoors smokers and things that disturb my sleep are my pet hates.
I have had lodgers on benefits and people with pets before (2 house rabbits). I am slightly allergic to cats and have a fabric sofa so I'm thinking less cats and more rodents or fish. With benefits it makes no difference to me as long as it's paid on time.
My ideal thermostat setting is 19 but I am open to negotiation.
