New Build development The Orchards. Double room

Hi, I’m a 27-year-old working professional looking for another like-minded professional to share my home. I’m often out and about with work and socially, so the house is usually pretty relaxed. Happy to see as much or as little of each other as suits — whether that turns into a new friendship or just respectful co-living is completely fine by me.

The house is a 3-bed townhouse located on The Orchards development just outside Batley. It’s a friendly, communal area that’s still being built (due to complete late this year/early next), so it has that new, fresh feel.

The Room
• Moderately sized double bedroom
• Located at the rear of the house on the first floor
• Gets plenty of natural sunlight throughout the day, so it’s really light and airy
• You’ll have sole access to the main bathroom (bath with overhead shower)

There’s also a spare third room which can be used as a home office if you work from home.

The House
• Relatively compact kitchen but with good storage — with my working pattern it’s easy to avoid clashing over space
• Large living room taking up most of the ground floor, with a bar-style dining table for meals
• Washing machine, dishwasher, and fridge freezer built in
• Separate dryer in the front room, free to use whenever

The property is only 6 months old, so it still feels very much like a new build. It’s mainly carpeted throughout and the room comes with blinds, wardrobe, and bed already in place. If you’d want to tweak anything furniture-wise, I’m open to a chat.

A little heads up — I share the house with a Dachshund puppy and a mature cat, so being an animal lover is a must. The puppy is still in his training phase (as puppies are!), so depending on move-in timing he may be anywhere from chaotic-cute to slightly more civilised.

I’m ideally looking for someone courteous, chatty, and who treats the place like their own home. I’m very easy going and respectful of space, and I’d like the same in return.
