Double room with gorgeous country views

I’m James, a 35 year old professional (work from home full time) and live in landlord. I live alone with my cat Daisy. Please note: you will have to undergo an extensive competency interview conducted by her for vetting purposes (forgive the pun..)

I’m a ‘live and let live’ type of guy who is content in his own company, keeps himself to himself and is looking for housemates who are friendly, clean, tidy and generally respectful.

The house is in New Farnley, on the A58, and roughly 10/15 mins into Leeds city centre and on a main bus route into town.

I bought the house in March and have fully renovated it from top to bottom, including full rewire, replastering/redecorating, new carpets throughout and installation of a new gas boiler. The house is huge, so plenty of space to not get on top of one another - there’s a large dining room with open fire and table/chairs/patio to the rear and a large living room to the front (used as a bit of a music room/general chill space currently).

The kitchen is massive (plenty of cupboard and worktop space), has an 3 oven gas Aga which provides instant cooking heat and is really easy to use, once you get the hang of it. There’s a washing machine and dishwasher too.

The garden is extensive, opening out to a decking area at the back that looks over farmland. There is ample off street parking on the driveway down the side/to the front of the house.

The room is light and airy, with a wardrobe, foldaway work desk and chair and a smart TV. During the rewire I had cable internet run to all rooms, so there’s a LAN access point which can plug straight into the back of the TV for 200mbps broadband. I also got my electrician to put a WiFi extender in the garden, so you can get good WiFi throughout, too.

So if you’re a professional, respectful and cat-friendly guy or girl looking for a peaceful, well-equipped and comfortable place to live, you can’t go far wrong with my place.
