Friendly house share in the centre of Shipley

Hello! My name is Kate and I own a lovely house in Shipley. I spent nearly a year completely renovating the place so that everything is modern with a retro twist. It is my pride and joy and I am looking for another friendly person to come and live here so I can continue making it pretty!

I am an English teacher and work at a secondary school in Cleckheaton. I love my job, but it does take up a lot of my time. When not working, I like walking my retired greyhound Elsie, seeing my friends, listening to music, binge watching box sets and whatever craft I've chosen as the flavour of the month. I have an inner battle as to when it is acceptable to get into my pyjamas on an almost daily basis. You have been warned. Oh, I also have a reasonably unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter, but I will try not to inflict it on you if that's not your thing.

I adopted Elsie just under a year ago and it was the best thing I ever did. She is a black and white with the pointiest schnozz and the sweetest, most gentle nature. For those who are wary of dogs, she is large, but she is more likely to hide from you than anything else. She is quite timid and takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, but she'll be coming up to you for treats and cuddles soon enough. We go for walks on Baildon Moor as many times a week as we can make it - she loves it up there - you are welcome to join us if you like walking.

The house is on four floors with the lodger rooms (of which there are two - both currently vacant and up for grabs!) in the loft. These rooms share an en suite bathroom with locks on both the inside and outside of the doors for your privacy. The rooms are a good size, with a desk, a set of drawers, built in wardrobes and a chair. One room has a large floor space if you want to work out or dance while you're getting ready, the other has some little shelves from the original build (this house is just over 100 years old) and a tv stand. Both have black out curtains for optimum sleeping conditions. Many of my friends and family members have stayed in these rooms over the four years I've had the house and they always say the memory foam mattresses are very comfy.

All living spaces are shared, including two reception rooms and the kitchen. Living spaces include TVs, record player, sound system and old school Xbox. I subscribe to Prime Video and Netflix. The kitchen is finished to a high standard with a pantry for storing food. There are two fridge freezers to share between the three of us. There is a little utility that has a washer dryer. It is all our responsibilities to keep communal and private areas tidy.

* Couples welcome - please note that the rent would be £550 a month, just to cover the bills etc. Deposit would be the same though*

Bills are all included and this also includes a cleaner who comes fortnightly (who has time?!?!) and they do a stellar job.

The house is situated in the centre of Shipley and is mere minutes away on foot from supermarkets, shops, train station (just 20 minutes into Leeds) and Saltaire's eating and drinking strip. There are some awesome pubs around here - I look forward to having a pint with you! Or a soft drink/coffee in a cafe if that's more your thing!
