This is a lodging arrangement (couples considered, higher monthly cost), not a tenancy. Cats pass through flat hallway - they are pedigree hypoallergenic, but friendly, so lodger will need to be comfortable with a cat present (can be locked out from access to the living space). Lodger will be required to keep the flat in a clean condition, and we may access for further cleaning, electricity meter, loft storage etc. We have three children who will rarely be heard or seen save at the weekend in our own garden area.
Although we would aim to give as much notice as possible, we will be able to revoke the lodging licence on 48 hours notice (or sooner if necessary). However, the lodging is on trust as it is our family home and we would be delighted to find a long-term lodger who is looking to stay for some years. Our previous lodger stayed for two years. Lodger will need two references, DBS check and proof of income.
