This is a lodging arrangement for a single occupier (access required for eg utility reading, pets. Cats pass through flat hallway - they are hypoallergenic, but friendly, so lodger will need to be comfortable with cats present - must be locked out from access to the kitchen and living space). Lodger will be required to keep the flat in a clean condition. We have three children who will rarely be heard or seen save at the weekend/holidays in our own garden area.
Although we would aim to give as much notice as possible, we will be able to revoke the lodging licence upon reasonable notice. However, the lodging is on trust as it is our family home and we would be delighted to find a long-term lodger who is looking to stay for some years. Our previous lodgers stayed for some years and left to upsize. Lodger will need two references, DBS check and proof of income.
