Renting in Hinton Parva.

I have recently rented a room in this cottage and this is my experience:

You need to be aware that the owner is renting the remaining rooms in the cottage out to Airbnb.

No locks are provided on your door, so it is up to the other lodgers manners and conscience not to enter your room. I complained to the owner that there had been people in my room and the owner would not install a lock on my door. I installed a security camera and caught one of the lodgers in my room snooping around. The owner still did not install a lock on my door and I felt as though I was fobbed off with excuses.

When the owner was not home for the Airbnb guests arrival I was asked to let them in or leave a key in the garden or patio door unlocked, this is likely to be the case for future lodgers also.

Parking is extremely difficult as the driveway is not designed for having 6 cars in the driveway with very little place to manoeuvre.

This is not intended to discourage potential lodgers, however I feel it is important to share information of my experience while residing in the property
