The flat is spacious and bright and is arranged over the top two floors of an Edwardian, converted semi-detached house. It was fully refurbished when I bought it 5 years ago and has been well looked after.
There is a large separate living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine & dishwasher) with a dining area, leading out on to a south facing roof terrace which has chairs and a table and an awning to give some shade on a sunny day. There is also a bathroom with a bath/shower and sink and a separate toilet.
The room available to rent is at the top of the house and is furnished with a double bed, bedside table and wardrobe. The room is quiet and bright (south facing) and overlooks the rooftops and roof terrace. There's also access to a loft in the hallway for additional storage.
If you are working from home there is the possibility to work in the lounge during the day or for you to add in a desk to your bedroom. I have a small 3rd bedroom which I'm using as my office space..
Transport links
The flat is ideally positioned for access to the centre of London and has excellent transport links:
- Harringay overland is 3 minutes walk (direct trains to Finsbury Park (Victoria line), Highbury & Islington, Old Street and Moorgate)
- Harringay Green Lanes is 5 minutes walk (direct trains to Hampstead Heath in 10 minutes)
- Manor House tube (zone 2, Piccadilly line) is 12 minutes walk
- Bus stops on Green Lanes and at Harringay station within a few minutes walk.
Area
The road is residential and on the Harringay ladder (at the quiet end near the station and Stroud Green). It's just 3 minutes walk from all the shops and restaurants on Green Lanes, 5 minutes walk from Harringay retail park (including 24h large Sainsburys!), 1 mile from Crouch End and 10 minutes walk from Finsbury Park and the Parkland walk. There's lots of green space and nice walks easily accessible from here.
Bills/availability
Bills cost £135/month + £18 every 2 weeks for a cleaner
No agent fees and available from now. Some flexibility on dates but I would like someone to move in by early September.
I work a 9-6ish job for a charity and usually travel regularly for work but am currently working from home most of the time. I'm a sociable person and would like to live with someone who is looking for a home and not just a room to rent, even though this is a short let. I do recognise the importance of having your own space and privacy and that's very much possible in this flat since it's quite spacious. When at home I like to relax and enjoy cooking, watching films and series etc and doing yoga.
If you would like to come and have a look at the flat and meet me please get in touch to tell me a bit about yourself and arrange a viewing.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Caroline
