1 Female professional looking for flatshare
Hi!
I'm Jeanne, a 29-year-old looking for a double room (like pretty much everyone on this app).
The boring but important stuff:
Double room in a flat share that can fit a wardrobe and a desk. The location would be close to a tube station and within 40 mins of central London. My budget is between 1000 without bills to 1400ish including bills (per month clearly 😂). I’m big into clean and organised space, so would be leaning towards having a cleaner, but flexible as I know it might not be in everyone’s budget. Would prefer an en-suite but flexible about sharing a bathroom as well.
What’s the vibe:
I want to live with flatmates because big cities can get isolating when you’re working. I've lived with flatmates before and I find it very nice to go home to people, have an impromptu chat in the kitchen, have mutually beneficial “rant about work” partners and let’s have a snacks and movies/series evening aficionado. However, I am respectful of everyone’s space and have a finite social battery, so I do enjoy spending time on my own as well. I’ve also lived in London for almost 2 years now and have done my master’s here a couple of years back, so I have a nice group of friends to hang out with outside the flat and have my own plans.
What I do:
I work in strategic comms/political advisory for foreign governments. It’s a pretty cool job, which I really enjoy and often get to travel to random places for. I’m usually 3 to 4 days a week in the office but I like to have a desk set up at home for working from home sometimes and handle random requests. I read a lot and I thoroughly enjoy discovering new shows and movies (my friends often come to me for recommendation on what to watch). I like boardgames and wine which are a really good combo (trust me). I used to swim but I want to start a sport that’s a little easier to do, especially in the winter months! I love traveling and I have lived in Seoul and Paris before.
Why I am looking:
No, I wasn’t kicked out of my previous place or suffering from a terrible breakup (small victories). My current flatmate and his wife are expecting, which is absolutely wonderful news but means that it’s time for me to look for another place. Funnily enough, that flatmate is also my landlord and he, and my previous other flatmates would be happy to share testimonies of what an absolute joy it is to live with me, really.
I’m happy to have a chat or a call if you’d like to know more! The London renting market is literal hell so please do reach out if you think I might be a good fit for your place or to buddy up.
