OMG, I'm 70! And I'd Like a Room in Bristol

Single, tidy, nature-loving male wishes quiet life in the city, or at least within a short train or bus ride. I was a computer programmer but am now writing birdwatching books and alternate histories.

I don't expect to be in much during the day since I am a keen birder, weather permitting. Obviously local avian life would be a huge bonus, even just a good garden. Because I'm writing, I'd need a desk for a laptop. I have my own chair! And my own double bed, if that's a help (and I've always slept in a double bed).

Living off savings and a small pension, I'm looking in the range of £650-900 pcm inclusive. That'll keep me going for another few years! Or at least one more book, which I’m weirdly setting in California.

Moving (from Portishead) before the winter would be ideal, so no great hurry, though if the place comes up, that timetable can advance.
