Professional looking for a flatmate

Hello! I am a 32-year-old working professional working part-time from home, and I am looking for a flatmate to share my beloved flat in Edinburgh's city centre (New Town/Leith).

I moved to Edinburgh for my MSc in Comparative Education and International Development at the University of Edinburgh, and I currently work on educational research.

I love listening to music, dancing, reading, watching movies, going to concerts and the theatre, doing yoga, taking long walks, weekend road trips, cooking, and occasionally making brunch, wine & cheese apéros, and dinners at home with friends. This year, I am aiming to do more painting and get back to playing the piano.

I've lived in different countries with flatmates from Spain, France, Morocco, Switzerland, the USA, the Netherlands, Colombia, Japan, and Scotland, and have had overall positive experiences in our flatmate relationships and/or friendships.

I’m looking for a flatmate who would be up for some occasional cooking, socialising, and chilling in the evening. But I also understand the importance of alone time and cherish my own.

I like to keep my home clean, tidy, and smelling nice, so a flatmate who has a similar mindset would be ideal.

I enjoy coming back home to relax after work in a calm environment, whether that's unwinding with a movie, reading, or listening to music in the shared living room. I also very much enjoy the occasional apéros and dinners with friends at home any day of the week, but I like keeping a healthy balance between social events and slow, relaxing evenings.

I speak English, French and Spanish. I've studied Italian, Japanese and German, and I am currently learning Danish.

I am looking for a new flatmate who is a working professional and does not work from home, since I work part-time from home (sorry!). But if you're either a mature student or a postgraduate student/post-doc, etc., over 28, come on round for a look and a chat!
