Looking for a decent size/large double room

***Within 15 minutes cycle ride max to Brighton, Preston Park or Hove train station. My ideal would be Hanover, but I'm also open to other areas as long as they are close enough to one of these stations.

I'm looking for somewhere mould free where landlords and tenants know how to handle damp and not just ignore it, wipe it down or paint over it.***

I’m a quiet and chill 38 year old, who is almost always busy with work, exercise and socialising - and is mostly out and about, but also spends some time in her room resting, doing life and work admin, etc. I have references and a solid income, but I much prefer private landlords over agencies.

I’m looking for a big double room (preferably unfurnished or only part furnished) in a flatshare that is very clean and in good condition (no leaks, mouldy bathrooms and dodgy windows). I’m definitely an extravert, and really happy to have chats in the kitchen/living room, the occasional dinner together etc, but I can not promise to have the time to go out together on a regular basis. It’s always good to make new friends, but I’m mostly looking for somewhere practical to live at, and happy to keep to myself if needed.

My work schedule is not Monday to Friday but rather Wednesday to Sunday. Rest assured, whatever I’m doing on the day, I always get up around 6-8am, and go to bed around 9-11pm. As I’m very often the first person to get up, I’m really quiet in the morning, trying not to disturb anyone who might have a lie in. I also expect the same in return, not to have much noise in the house after 10pm.

I basically have three different jobs/roles. I’m a homeopath, a bodyworker and PA to a land agent. I’m renting a clinic room in central Brighton, where I work on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Thursdays and Fridays, I’m in Hassocks doing my PA job. On Mondays and Tuesdays, I’m either at home or out and about - most often a mixture.

As for fun, I love rock climbing, gym classes, anything nature and creative/arts related. I have been living in Brighton since 2016 and love it.

I have a partner whom I have been dating for four years now. We have no intention of living together, but he might sleep over a few times a month. We always divide our time together between mine and his, to avoid spending too much time at either place. We are very respectful of flatmates when we are together, and try not to talk too loud etc.

As well as having my partner over sometimes, I would also like to invite some friends over on the odd occasion - it will never be more than two at a time, and it would always be during the day/early evening.

Beware: I’m as far from a vegan as one can be. I used to be fully vegan for about 6 years, but had to change my diet due to health reasons. Since then, I eat a lot of meat (mostly beef) and eggs (no dairy). I always wash up properly after myself, have my own pans and plates etc, and try to minimise smells - but I can not promise not to have any meaty smells in the house, so a vegan or vegetarian household obviously wouldn’t work for me.

I’m currently working towards a driver’s license and once I have a car, I will need to park it somewhere. So it’s essential that there are no limitations tied to the property when I apply for a permit.

Although my long-term partner and I are in a heterosexual relationship, I’m queer and obviously happy to live with people with a queer identity.
