Artist & lecturer looking for a conscious home

Hello! My name is Alisa, I am 31 and I am a socially-engaged artist, designer and facilitator working with textiles, sculpture, public art, participatory and community art, running workshops and projects that cultivate social and ecological belonging. I am also an art university lecturer specialising in sustainability and community engagement. As a self-employed practitioner and a person who is deeply passionate about my work, I do have a pretty full schedule at most times. I have a separate art studio so I do all my “making” work there, I often work on -site for different charities and organisations and there are some days I’ll be WFH digitally from my room. My weeks are pretty varied depending on the projects I have on.

I am an ENFP type, I am very colourful and creative and I love forming authentic deep relations. I am vegan, am very healthy in my diet and I have a passion for cooking. I really care about nature, dreamwork and inner work, energy work, mindfulness, interspecies kinship, animism, mythos, magic, plants, herbs, reading, joy, critical thinking, justice, activism, environmentally conscious sustainable living, self-development and spirituality, indigenous worldviews, anti-racism work, creating & making, colour, and living well. I don’t drink and I try to take good care of my body, mind and soul.

I am looking for a studio flat or a spacious room in a cosy home to share with maximum 1-3 people. I am looking for a place long-term. I have some flexibility with the move in time - anytime from mid January to April but I do need to give a minimum of 1 month notice. I would prefer for the room to be minimally furnished, so that I could fit all my beautiful books and plants.

I would prefer to live with women, and/or queer/non-binary / trans folk, but straight men who are self-aware and emotionally intelligent can also be good company. I would prefer to live in a veggie/vegan household, but can also live with meat eaters.

I am looking for a warm home, not just a room. I would love to live with conscious mindful creative human beings who have good energy and have good hearts. It would be wonderful to be of a gently and lightly supportive presence in each other’s life. Ideally, I would love to share space with people who are curious, passionate and devoted to something in their life and are somehow making the world a better more beautiful place through their work and way of being.

I would love to share a home with folk who are into sustainable and healthy living, inner work and spirituality, who have a stable grounded mature energy and who take responsibility for themselves and their actions. Self-awareness, honesty and kindness are big on my list of priorities and of what I value in others. In living situations, I deeply value clear direct communication and open conversations about needs and boundaries. Of course, cleanliness and maintaining a beautiful space is essential. I am searching for a calm peaceful quiet zen home, not a party central, a place where it’s easy to rest, restore and replenish.
