Professional Musician & PhD Student

Hi! I’m Marcelo, a professional musician and PhD student in Music, and I’ve been living independently in Brighton for the past few years.

I’m currently looking for a budget-friendly room due to the increasing cost of living and because I’m starting my PhD this September. My focus over the next few years is on my research while continuing to develop my music career.

I work as a professional saxophonist, performing at weddings, corporate events and private functions across East Sussex, London and surrounding areas. When I’m at home, I spend most of my time working quietly online on my research, teaching, marketing and running my music business.

I’m a clean, respectful and considerate housemate. I don’t smoke or drink, and I enjoy a peaceful home environment where everyone respects each other’s space. I’ve lived alone for several years, so I’m used to looking after a home and being responsible.

I’m looking for a friendly, relaxed house where I can focus on my work and studies while enjoying a positive atmosphere with my housemates.
