Looking for one great flatmate – Zone 2/3
I’m looking for one person to buddy up with and find a nice 2-bed flat together. I’d much rather do that than move into a big existing house share.
I’m mainly looking at Zone 2/3, ideally somewhere with good transport links to Tottenham Court Road, Liverpool Street and Bethnal Green, as I work around those areas. I also cycle to work, so somewhere with secure bike storage would be a big plus.
My budget is around £1,200 each, although I’m happy to go a bit higher for the right place. I’m not looking for anything super fancy, but I do want somewhere that feels nice and comfortable. Ideally a modern flat, either recently refurbished or built within the last 10 years, with decent-sized bedrooms, a good kitchen and a nice modern bathroom. I’m less bothered about having a massive living room, I’d rather have a really good kitchen and bathroom and the flat to be generally in good condition.
A bit about me: I’m a personal trainer and massage therapist and have been working in London for many years. I train a lot and enjoy bodybuilding, but outside of that I like travelling, restaurants, good food and seeing friends. I’m friendly and sociable but also quite independent. I don’t really drink and I’m not a big party person. I’d much rather go out than have loads of people round the flat.
As a flatmate, I’m looking for someone friendly, straightforward and easy-going. Being clean and tidy is important to me, but I’m definitely not obsessive about it. It’s a home, so obviously things are going to get lived in,
it’s not a museum or an art installation 😂. I just like things reasonably clean and looked after.
I’d prefer someone who has their own job and generally works outside the home. Working from home occasionally is absolutely fine, but I wouldn’t really want to live with someone who works from home every day.
I’m also not looking for a party house. Having friends over now and again is absolutely fine, but I don’t particularly like having lots of people round and then having to deal with the aftermath. I’d much rather go out and socialise and keep home as a nice, relaxed place.
I’d like us to get a cleaner twice a month and just split the cost, which I think makes life easier for everyone.
There’s no rush from my side. The property I currently live in is for sale, but it could take months and months to sell, so I’m quite flexible. I’m looking from October onwards, but November, December or even January would be fine.
If you’re looking for something similar, drop me a message and tell me a bit about yourself and what you’re looking for.
