Professional looking for house/flat shares 🙂

INTRODUCTION

I’ve been in my current shared house for just over 2 years - very close to my work but unfortunately on a noisy road and I would like to move to somewhere quieter.

Here’s a fairly full profile with some things about me, hopefully not an essay and hopefully coherent but well done if you get to the end.

ABOUT ME

I’m a professional librarian, working at UWE Bristol as a subject specialist, supporting students with teaching, enquiries and liaison.

Timings-wise, my house is with a letting agent and it’s my understanding that they prefer notice to be given on the 1st calendar day of the month - please let me know if that is an issue.

I’m 43 and fully aware I’m older than the average Spareroomer - ideally looking for people in their 30s/40s/50s to share with (rather than 20’s) but can be flexible!

I’m LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent (ADHD), and it would be great to live with someone who is tolerant of both of these things.

Couple of neurodivergent things to mention:

*Apologies if I don’t respond straight away to you (and thanks to everyone who messages me with rooms they’re sharing), I will endeavour to reply to people as quickly as I can. Please don’t mistake my lack of response for rudeness - I can find this overwhelming and need extra time to process messages.

*In return, I’d really appreciate it you could acknowledge my messages and be clear about what is advertised - e. g, size of room, length of tenancy, number of housemates etc. I struggle with retaining information so the clearer it is, the better.

*Also, I’d really appreciate if you can tell me asap when a room is taken - it helps manage my expectations/anxiety. Please do not use the automated messages to tell me this.

MY INTERESTS

*Music - writing, composing and creating my own compositions (on sabbatical), creating radio shows (also on pause), playing guitar.
*Other Hobbies - reading, photography, art, LEGO building, travelling, day-trips, real ale/pubs, politics/current affairs, puzzles, superhero comics (80s/90s Marvel), clothes, retro toys.
*Fitness-wise - running (mainly 5K parkrun - often at Eastville - and occasional 10K), weekly gym/circuit training, walking/hiking (always to work and often further afield).
