Phd student seeks a double room or buddy up
Hi, I’m Sam, a 32-year-old PhD student moving to Edinburgh to begin a four-year programme at the University of Edinburgh. I’m currently living in Vienna, where I’ve been working as an English teacher, and I’m hoping to move sometime between mid-September and early October, but I am flexible about moving dates.
I’ve travelled widely and lived in several different countries, so I’m used to sharing spaces with people from different backgrounds. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors, and I’m looking forward to making the most of Edinburgh’s easy access to nature. I previously worked as a chef and still love cooking, eating well and sharing meals with housemates. I’m also passionate about art, music and film, and enjoy going to exhibitions, concerts, screenings and other cultural events.
Although I may occasionally work from home, I generally prefer studying elsewhere, so I would not be in the flat all day. I’m looking for a clean and respectful home with people who are sociable while also appreciating their own space. Ideally, I’d like to live with housemates who are friendly and adventurous but also considerate about keeping shared spaces pleasant and well looked after.
Please get in touch if you think I might be a good fit for your flatshare or to buddy up with, and we can have a chat and see if we'd be a good fit.
