1 Male gardener seeks room

Hi there,

I’m on the lookout for full-time accommodation in Edinburgh starting November this year.

What I’d like in an ideal world is a 2-3 bed flat to share with 1 or 2 others maximum. Would be great if it’s a nice period property with some character but happy to make admissions for the right place.

Maximum budget around £800.

Ideal areas would be Stockbridge, Portobello, Leith and maybe Marchmont. Again I’m flexible on that for the right place.

A bit about me. My name’s Anton and I’m originally from London but have been living on the Essex coast for the past 2 years. I’m moving back to Edinburgh as I lived there around 20 years ago and absolutely loved the city. No idea why I moved back to London all those years back!

I’m 49 so looking to share with someone mature who has some life experience and some stories to tell. Could be a mature student or anyone who’s lived a bit.

Gardening is what I do for work and currently studying garden design with a view to moving into that sector. I enjoy my job and it definitely counts as one of my passions. Would be brilliant to find somewhere with a garden or outdoor space.
Other interests are cooking, food and wine, film, travel, listening to music and learning piano, chess, writing and reading. Would be great to find a flatmate who has similar interests as it’s good to enjoy spending time with the people you live with and there’s more chance of that if you have things in common.

I’d like it if the other person/ people are considerate, clean and tidy (not excessively so!) and responsible. I sound like a right bore now! I’m definitely not, just stayed in places where nobody gives a toss and the flat rapidly becomes a dump.
