PhD student moving to glasgow in sept

I'm moving to Glasgow to start a PhD at Strathclyde end of Sept and looking to rent a room in west end/finnieston/garnethill/dennistoun

Gonna be new to the area, so ideal flat will have some friendly people that are also keen to maybe find a coffee or plan a hike or gig to go to.
Love to go out and do new things, but also a big fan of a social battery recharge and respect space when it's needed.

Pros: make a mean margarita, can keep multiple plants reasonably alive, AllTrails plus membership

Cons: need coffee to function, will always be spending money on a holiday but complaining I'm broke, also killed multiple plants
