Looking for a room/flatmates
--Looking for a more homely/queer friendly place to live when my contract ends 29th June 2026--
Hi! I'm spike (he/it). I'm looking either for a room in an existing share, or flatmates to find a new place together. Budget is max £550 incl bills (so Local Housing Allowance would cover most). Landlord will need to accept DSS income and for sublets will need official letter of landlords permission!
I'm looking for a home where we have mutual care/respect for each other and take responsibilities for the house autonomously/make time for communication/decision making. It would be nice to have some shared interests/values, do some activities in/out the house together but also chill if things are busy. A housing co-op/similar values basically.
I'm a super creative/handy person and trying to make more art after graduating from art uni :) Living with other trans/queer/neurodivergent people is ideal but not essential if you're understanding. (Another polish speaker would also be cool).
As a flatmate I'm quiet, clean and like having a friend over from time to time. Out of the house I love being in nature, going to gigs, and any weird/arty/community oriented events, like Cambridge community kitchen.
A garden would be nice to grow veg in :) Ideally a 20 min max cycle to train station. Have previously rented privately and have great landlord references for 3 years and a guarantor if needed.
