Hi my name is Lee....

Hello!
I hope you are well.

My name is Lee and I am looking for my next home, whether it be a room in a house share, a bedsit (do they exist now?) or a studio flat, or in an ideal world... my own flat (should I win the lottery!).

Following that wonderful interest increase three years ago that sent all the landlords to the hills (including mine) and sold their properties (mine didn't despite the Section 21), I have spent the last three years occupying my mother's spare room. At my age - not good but needs must. The good side - roof over head, helped with finances, helped her out. The bad side - too far away from work and where I want to be.

It also meant I lost my job. So the money I saved up to move house has gone whilst trying to find somewhere to live (the pleasures of not driving). Family stuff also got in the way and having had one week off in nine years, I seriously needed a break and got one whether I wanted one or not. I notw need to get back on the hamster wheel.

So this is a different kind of advert.

I am looking for somewhere to stay, not now but in the near future. I have been trying to get freelance work, so I am more reliant on me than employers but given the current climate... I work for a living and not on benefits. All this advert is is my promise to myself to move forward.

If you know you have somewhere coming up in the near future and can tolerate a self reliant, reliable, creative, clean, hard working, good natured, funny (in my mind at least) and at times stubborn 51 year old tenant, please keep me in mind. There are places I would love to move to but mainly I want somewhere with some space (I don't move lightly), somewhere I can work on my own thing, somewhere near a tube station (don't like being cut off), even somewhere different (converted shed, basement, roof top?).

Things can turn around fairly quickly but I thought I would throw this into the universe and see what comes back. A lot of the properties I have shown interest in over the years using Spare Rooms tend to get readverised eventually.
